Aircraft Warning Light Cables

March 6, 2017 by Thermal Wire and Cable

The energy required to power up high-intensity lights, lamps and beacons demand a careful, accurate selection of wire and cable. The Thermal Wire and Cable products that deliver the charge to this system ensure circuit integrity, which enables aircraft warning lights to remain illuminated. From NASA to the US government, tall buildings to industrial flare stacks, warning light systems are essential to

Some of the aircraft systems Thermal Wire designs are the Hybrid system, the Flexible Retractable system (R-ACWL), which allow the operator to access the flare while in service, as well as Stationary Shielded Power and Control Cable system.

Solid American craftsmanship using quality design and state-of-the-art insulating material will positively influence your wire and cable performance. Thermal Wire and Cable customizes each design to fit each application. Among the wide range of components, we include in our wire and cable design involves voltage rating, temperature rating, shielding, oil and moisture resistance, agency standard requirements, armor requirements, routing considerations, UV resistance, length and weight of the cable, finished diameter and voltage drop.

Our Hybrid core elements range from interlocking galvanized or aluminum armor using wire and cable that handles 200°C to 450°C. Many customized options are available in this system with or without armor.

Our Flexible Retractable systems (R-ACWL) include UL recognized 200°C unshielded power cable incorporates flexible technology using silicone rubber and FEP Fluoropolymer primary insulation. Thermal Wire offers designs its systems to minimize maintenance and to provide options based on this foundation, some of which include 250°C with shielded pairs/triads and stainless steel over braid.

Stationary Shielded Power and Control Cable systems allow 200°C armored, metal-clad and other cable types to be installed in a variety of cable trays. The tray installation offers less labor time at a lower cost. These high performance insulating systems are sunlight resistant and resist most chemicals. Again, many options are available with this cable foundation.
